China’s advances in AI are delivering benefits to all countries across the globe, the U.S. included. And its large AI models are equally accessible to all nations. By contrast, the U.S. strictly restrict Chinese users from accessing its large models, spares no effort to weaponize frontier AI models, and moves backward on global AI governance. The U.S. ought to reflect on its own role in global AI development, instead of masquerading as a "superhero" while acting as a "supervillain."
